Meet Mrs. PattersonWell, my name is Jazman, but you probably refer to me as Mrs. Patterson or Coach Patterson. I graduated from Midwestern State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication. Later, I returned to MSU for teacher certification for grades 4-8 English, language arts, and reading. Thanks to the great education I received while attending MSU, I am now doing what I love!
As a little background, I am a former MSU athlete. I graced the basketball court for four years as a lady mustang. I still try to attend as many games, as I can. And, of course, I return for the annual alumni game. To toot my own horn a little, I completed my undergraduate career with a GPA of 3.81; in which I earned A's in all of my English classes, of course. I have numerous Presidential Honor Roll and Dean's List Awards. I also earned several athletic awards, including Mustang Scholar Athlete of the Year. After graduating college and returning to earn my teaching certificate, I taught seventh grade writing at McNiel Jr. High for two years. While at McNiel, I also coached seventh grade volleyball, basketball, and track. I'm very proud to say that my seventh grade athletes were undefeated in both volleyball and basketball! They also were great students :) My interests include listening to music, an occasional streak of artistic inquiry, cooking for my family, shooting some hoops, eating entire buckets of popcorn in movies, and, of course, teaching the young minds of the future! |
